Ollie the Barn Owl at a wedding
The silent flight of the Barn Owl has captured peoples' imaginations for generations!
NOW ...imagine this spectacular bird delivering your wedding rings to the gloved hand of the groom or best man, making your special day even more magical!
Your ring bearer for the day ...Meet "Ollie", our experienced and loveable British Barn Owl!
Expertly trained she will glide silently from the hand of the falconer to the waiting gloved hand of the groom or best man, delivering your rings with style and charm.
The falconer and Ollie will arrive approximately 1 hour before your service is to begin. This will give her plenty of time to settle in and meet the person to whom she will be flying, who will then be guided on how to handle the ring delivery ...all very easy, friendly and relaxed.
Once the rings are exchanged Ollie will fly back to the falconer and be carried away so your ceremony can continue.
After the ceremony Ollie and the falconer will be available to mingle with your guests, who are welcome to handle and be photographed with her should they wish!
How to book
Ollie the Barn Owl with a bridesmaid
We recommend booking as soon as the date and venue for your special day is confirmed. This will avoid disappointment as demand for Ollie is very high!
Please contact us to confirm if your wedding date is available and we will gladly answer any questions you might have. A provisional booking can be taken at this time and entered into our diary.
Confirmation
Upon receipt of full payment in advance the booking will be confirmed in writing and we will look forward to joining you on your wedding day.

Fees and charges
Ollie the Barn Owl
The fee for the ring bearing service is £360 (including VAT).
We are based at Lightwater Valley, near Ripon. Services within a 50 mile radius of this location will not incur any extra charges.
In cases where the location for the service is outside this radius there will be a small extra charge of 40p per mile to cover travelling expenses. If an overnight stay is needed an additional cost to cover accommodation is required and can be discussed at the time of booking.
Cancellation
If you need to move the booked date, this does not incur any additional charge providing we have space in our calendar to accommodate the new date.
In the unlikely event that you need to cancel a confirmed booking, we are happy to refund your fees as follows:
- FULL REFUND if you cancel at least 12 months before the booked date.
- 75% refund if you cancel 9-11 months before the booked date.
- 50% refund if you cancel 6-8 months before the booked date.
- 25% refund if you cancel 3-5 months before the booked date..
- No refund if you cancel less than 3 months before the booked date.
